Agios Fanourios Church

Agios Fanourios is a church no far from Skiathos town. There is a platform out there with a stunning view to the town and neighboring Skopelos Island. The church is named after the saint, who’s day is celebrated on August 27. St. Fanourios is a saint who helps to find lost and make up the loss, either it is a thing or a person.

Fanourios in Greek (φανερωνω, εμφανιζω) means “to disclose; to find”. St. Fanourios helps finding a lost cattle, lost objects and even luck.
